It is absolutely critical to drink plenty of water whilst on the Hcg protocol. Overweight people are dehydrated. When you get up in the morning and you ‘wee and weigh’ then drink a large glass of water – your digestive system will love you for it!

It is essential to consume at least two litres of water a day whether you are on the Hcg diet or not. Recommended waters include any bottled water like Evian. Spring water is best. If spring water isn’t available then the last choice is distilled water. What I don’t want you drinking whilst on the Hcg diet plan or at any time is tap water. Why I say never drink tap water is because it is loaded with chlorine, fluoride and other contaminates. It is extremely hard to filter tap water without an expensive filtering system – something that is worth saving up for!

Also, please limit ice cold drinks. Drinking very cold drinks slows the metabolism and actually increases hunger. These should be limited or avoided altogether. If you are drinking your 2 litres of water per day and several cups of herbal or green tea, you should have no need or desire for any other drinks.
